Savoy Hotel London

Competition Entry

Based on the theatrical connection of The Savoy Hotel, London, these are a few visuals of a courtyard proposal I designed entitled “Behind the curtain”. 

As a graduate of the prestigious London College of Garden Design, we were given the opportunity to redesign an unknown and under utilised area within The Savoy Hotel. A series of living walls and rooves hide a multitude of unsightly ducting and provides a lush green textured feel representative of the layers of its 136 year history. 

The water feature provides a noise masking solution and adds movement to the space, whilst the creation of “London Fog” through a series of misting jets provides theatre and drama.
